Our cousin lived in the independent living area (The Villas) for 3 years. The overall experience was very good. The nurses and staff were highly qualified and communicated effectively with the family. Medication management and coordination with the local pharmacy was very efficient. Movement between the the Villas, local hospital and nursing section was well coordinated. Meetings with Brakeley staff were always welcome and productive. While The Villas were not “assisted living”, the supervising nurse and aides went above and beyond to help with activities of daily living. When management determined that independent living was no longer appropriate, they provided an excellent referral to a step-up facility and were extremely helpful to the family.
